Police seek identity of alleged Lawrence bank robber

Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the man in the accompanying photograph. He is wanted in connection with the alleged robbery of the Bank of America at 400 Central Ave. on Jan. 24 at 10:47 a.m.

The man carried a small black grocery bag and did not display a weapon, according to police. He presented a demand note to a bank teller and after obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, he fled north on foot on Washington Avenue.
Seven employees and three customers were inside the bank at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.
Crime stoppers is asking anyone with any information about this incident, or the identity of this person to call toll free, 1-800-244-8477. All calls are kept confidential.
