First grade made a shevas haminim store. Each first grader manned a booth and the rest of the students from the school came and sampled the different fruits.
Each student made their own fruit kabobs with dried fruit.
The main project of the day was making a shevas haminim glass plate with a picture of all the special fruits and grains of eretz Yisroel. The students enjoyed themselves while connecting to the holiness of the holy land.
Cheder at the Ohel, founded in 1996, located minutes away from the Lubavitcher Rebbe's ohel, is dedicated to providing a yeshivah education to elementary school age boys based on Chabad Chassidus
